		<description>I share your thoughts in part, Tom, even though I am going with the other candidate.  Must be the ex-military in me.  Watching Obama&#039;s speech, I was amazed at some of the things he was saying and sounding very Republican, about cutting taxes and eliminating waste.  Then again, saying you are going to raise taxes is never a good thing to say in an election (a la Mondale).  But this guy has the most liberal voting record in the Senate, and has proposed all kinds of tax hikes on capital gains, raising the Social Security limit on contributions, windfall profit taxes on the oil industry (see my post on that subject), etc.  I just don&#039;t buy it.  I think Gov. Palin will in the end help the Republicans (to win, maybe?) unless she has an Admiral Stockdale moment in the debates.  Good post.</description>
